Gabriella's Learning Journey

We were doing some thing called global experience. My station was huts in Kenya. Do you know that the hut are made  out of cow poop? The women build the huts.  It takes 4 to 8 days to build and women start fires.

Yesterday it was 100th day of  school. We did 100 things.  we made are own snack. I could blink 100 times and stand up and sit down 100 times

Me Ruby and Elana are making huts. we are gouing to show kids it. The huts are made of thatch roofs and mud walls and dirt floors.

I am studying about impalas. They eat grass herbs bushes and shoos. There fur is redish brown. We are going to make the annmls.

We are learing  about the Maasai Tribe. they drink cow blood and milk. they jump very hi. they bead there jewelry and it is beautiful.

We are learing about Martin Luther King Jr. In 1929 Martin was born.  In 1935 Martin went to elementary school. He got married and had 4 kids.  He wanted blacks and whites to be even.

We are learning about Kenya. I learned that the capital of Kenya is Nairobi. There are 5 countries surrounding Kenya. We made maps of Kenya. I learned that the Indian ocean is buy Kenya.

We are making bridges. We have partners.  My partner is ronnie. She helped me build a bridge. My bridge held 109 weights and the car got over 4 times. it was so fun. and i cant wait to do it agaien.

My chanukah hero is a mime. and his name is marcel. he savde alot of kids. and he died in 2007.

We are in immersiion in writers. We are going to writ a book that is a fairy tale. My favorite  book is sleeping ugly. I like this unit.
