Procedure:

1We took the chicken from the tinfoil tray and we took out the salt in baking soda around and in the chicken

2.Then we threw away the salt and baking soda that was inside and around the chicken.

We cleaned out the tinfoil tray and put the chicken in the other clean tinfoil tray.

3.We put new and fresh salt and baking soda inside and around the chicken(we used  2 pounds of salt and baking soda and 2 tablespoons of rosemary)the chicken.  
6. Then we put the chicken by a windowsill(A safe place for about a week and half while it’s mummifying)

Using the senses of sight, touch and smell, we described our chicken..

Sight:It looks like an infected bruise and it also looks like an isolated chicken that’s been isolated for a million years it also slowly is getting smaller in a weird way.The chicken also looks more like a darkish red since we think that is when we know when the chicken is getting really dehydrated but we don’t know for sure.

Touch:It kind of feels like a snake or like a rock.It feels a little more squishy also than last time.All these feeling feel different depending on where you are touching the chicken.

Smell:The chicken smells like:Can Dog Food,Barf,and like a stinky dog,and stinky socks.

How much change do you think will occur over break?

We think it will be more dehydrated and dried out and maybe looks a little more like a darkish red because we think that chicken get red when they are dehydrated.We also hope it will smell better!One more thing is that we think the chicken might be smaller or maybe change the shape of the chicken?!

Today The bread definitely got darker and it’s getting a little rugged.

I think that by next week this bread will be really dark and will have different color spots all over it.

STEP 1. Use hands to rub the baking soda and salt mixture off the chicken

STEP 2. Get a spoon to scoop up the mixture INSIDE the chicken

STEP 3. Clean out the tin foil pan that the chicken was in.

STEP 4. Put new and fresh salt and baking soda five pounds of each and two tablespoons of cinnamon into and around the chicken.

Using the senses of sight, touch and smell, describe your chicken

Sight: A rock that just so happened to be in the shape of a chicken

Touch: Hard as a rock and also kind of stale.

Smell: Dogs that were laying in the mud with a hint of cinnamon and An Exhibit at the Zoo.

How do you think the chicken will change between now and Thursday?

We think that it will change color some more and maybe become yellow!

Procedure:

1.We took the chicken with the salt and baking soda on the chicken out of the tin foil container and we left the salt and baking soda around the chicken in the tinfoil container.

2.We threw away the salt and baking soda still in the tinfoil container and then we cleaned up the other container that the salt,baking soda,and cinnamon mixture was in with wipes (By this time we saw some of the skin turning red and coming off of the chicken and that means that the chicken was slowly mummifying)

3.Then we put new and fresh salt and baking soda inside the chicken (we used and 2 and a half pounds of salt and baking soda and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon)and put in some cinnamon inside the chicken so the chicken wouldn’t smell so bad.We put this mixture also around the chicken for it to mummify some more.

4. We put the chicken by the windowsill(A safe place for it while it’s mummifying)

How did your procedure today change from what you had planned?

We used way less salt and baking soda than we needed which was good it’s just that it was a change.We were supposed to use about 3 and a half pounds of salt and baking soda but it turned out we needed less.Also the other thing that changed was that we were going to wait a week until we changed the mixture up but instead we waited about 2 days and the chicken still has the same result as it would have if we did it a week later which is really awesome!

We used the senses of sight, touch and smell, to describe today’s experience.

Sight:The salt and baking soda kind of looks like a clay or glue mixture together.

Touch:The mixture has harden and kind of feels like a donut or a squishy thing or concrete depending on where you are feeling the salt and baking soda mixture on the chicken.

Smell:The chicken smells like cinnamon since we used than in our baking soda and salt mixture to make the chicken not smell so bad.It also on another part of the chicken smells like a dog who hasn’t showered in a long time!

How do you think the chicken will change between now and Monday?

We think it will change because more of the chicken will be red which is good because that means it’s mummifying and also it might smell a little bit in the room that we are mummifying the chickens in because it’s mummifying right now over the weekend but since we put in cinnamon in the baking soda and salt mixture hopefully it won’t smell as bad.The last thing is that I think when we take off the mixture of the salt,baking soda,and cinnamon the texture of the chicken might change and let’s hope that’s for the better but it might be for the worst.

I think that maybe it kind of looks like the bread got a teeny bit darker and a little bit more wilted.

The bread looks like it’s definitely starting to mold.

This is our first day to start the Molding Bread process.

I think this process will take about A week.

Procedure:

1. Our teacher bought store bought chickens and materials for our process
   2.We Opened the bag with the chicken with scissors and then put the chicken on a tinfoil tray

3.We were prepared and put on face masks and also gloves and also safety goggles.(YOU WILL WANT ALL OF THESE THINGS IF YOU ARE MUMMIFYING A CHICKEN-TRUST US)

We cleaned off the germs of the chicken with rubbing alcohol we used about 30 ounces of it and used  the rubbing alcohol to rub inside and outside so that the chicken doesn’t smell as bad and we also put on about 2 tablespoons of cinnamon to also make it not smell so bad

4. Then we took 15  paper towels to dry off the chicken inside and out

and then we put  in 3 pounds of salt and 3 pounds of baking soda mixed together to fill up the places where the innards were and we filled that up fullway.

5.Then after we were done  putting the chicken on the tinfoil tray we put salt and baking soda around the chicken

6.After we put the tinfoil tray with the chicken on the windowsill and leave it there for days.

How did your procedure today change from what you had planned?

We Forgot to add in scissors-to open up the chicken. Masks-so we don’t breath in air that is gross and not clear. Cinnamon- to make it not smell so bad. Rubbing alcohol- To rub the chicken inside and out and make the chicken not smell so bad because there is bacteria on the chicken which makes it smell so bad.  Goggles- To protect our eyes. Gloves- To make sure our hands don’t get really gross and icky and dirty.

Sight: We saw other people doing different things so we could learn from them.

Touch: We touched the chicken so we could mummify it and we used our touch to make sure we were doing the process correct.

Smell: We used our sense of smell to make sure that we had enough cinnamon so the Chicken didn’t smell as bad.

How did group roles support and/or challenge your group?

No because we didn’t fight and we were working together and compromising  in the process.Example:We were combining different ideas and thoughts and were helping each other out when confused with something and we kind of switched our roles halfway through  mummifying

Because about this picture different roles worked better for some people than other people.

I feel like I regret picking most of them

I chose them all because that’s what I learned to believe in lower school but now that I think about it… Something came before god probably.

Today I’m learning how to create categories on edublogs. This post is helping me set them up! =)
