How I am Doing on my Goals

Math: In math my goal was working, so I made a new one. My goal is to pay attention on my work and not on other people.  I am going to sit away from people, unless we are working with partners.

Reading goal: My goal was writing summaries of what I was reading. While I’m independent reading, I write long summary’s and I make predictions in readers response notebooks.  My new goal is to write a variety of responses to what I am reading.  I will try to write a different response every independent reading time.

Writing goal: In writing I’ve been struggling with putting more transition words in my stories, but I have been editing very well.  I will use my transition word sheet when I write so I can have more transition words.

We still haven’t started social studies.

Veterans day

In World War 1, I learned that on the worst battle fields, poppy’s bloomed.  So, poppy’s than became the symbol or world war 1.  I also learned that the Navy and the Air Force are different things. In the Navy they are the ones that fight in the water and protect the water.  In the Air Force, they use planes in war.  Thanks to those who served our country.

Goals for School

Social Studies: We have not started social studies yet but my goal is to go into social studies with an open mind. I will do this by trying to find something that interests me.

Readers workshop: My goal is to write more summaries in my readers binder and learn more definitions. I will do that by reading dictionaries and using my independent reading time to write summaries.

Math: My goal for math is to not talk while working. I will do that by sitting by myself or away from people I talk to.

Writers workshop: My writers W.S. goal is to put more transition words in my stories and edit more accurately.
